• Project: Website Copy and Mockup
• Client: Box 3807 (a home decor subscription box)
• My Role: Copywriter and Content Strategist (I also designed the website mockup)
• Objective: Create website copy that captures the interest of home decor enthusiasts with a desire to buy Black and Brown-owned home goods and accessories
• Stakeholders Involved: Web Developer and Client
• Tools Used: Google Docs, Figma, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Canva

Process

1. Engage with stakeholders to determine current state of business — goals, strengths, and areas of opportunities
2. Conduct competitive analysis to assess performance of similar businesses
3. Perform research on target audience’s needs and desires (e.g., interviews, user personas)
4. Analyze information collected from steps 1-3
5. Create clear, quality web copy that resonates with audience and aligns with business goals
6. Collaborate with web developer and client to refine copy until it is ready to go live on the website
7. Implement feedback and updates on an ongoing basis
